Art & Inspiration

Pete started creating acrylic paintings in 2019, initially focusing on works including nature pieces like landscapes, flowers, sunrises/sunsets, butterflies, oceans, and lakes. When he discovered liquid art, also known as pour painting, he found his passion. He studied various techniques for doing liquid art. He began teaching classes and filming instructional videos to pass on the knowledge to others, simultaneously stimulating his love of people and his love of teaching, and working toward his ultimate goal of becoming a motivational speaker and sharing his story. 

Pete is available as a motivational speaker and can talk about positivity, inspiration, motivation, providing hope, and bringing light to an ever-darkening world. Pete's story is a miraculous one full of resilience of spirit, a stubborn refusal to give up, standing up for what's right, breaking generational cycles of abuse, overcoming negativity and overwhelming odds, and becoming a positive force for good and a light for those needing hope. Pete can also talk about how he conquered his fear of art and founded Positively Pete, creating acrylic paintings and liquid art after battling anxiety and crippling self-doubt and rising above his fears.

In mid-2023, Pete suffered a stroke, which took away his ability to speak. When given the timeline of 1-2 years to recover, Pete decided that didn't work for him, and he set to work on getting his speech back. Through hard work and refusing to give up, he had basic speech back in just six weeks. Just over two months after having the stroke, Pete returned to his full-time job, only to lose it a little over a month after that. 

Pete has experienced and overcome many adversities in life through faith, resilience, and a stubborn refusal to give in or give up. He is very proud of his positive attitude and dedication to helping others by sharing  his light and story. He meets people where they are, without judgment and with kindness, and sits with them in the dark and shares hope and light.
